Revolution Literary Festival

The San Francisco Main Library is hosting the Free Your Mind: A Revolution In Words Literary Festival this Saturday, March 2nd

The event is free and will feature performance artists, author signings, visual artist exhibitions and a special keynote speech given by Dr. Oba T’Shaka who is known as an activist for African American civil rights.

Story Telling Performance

Hear some of your favorite authors come to life through live story-telling and learn more about others from the author showcase.

Genealogy Workshop

Learn how to create a comprehensive family history with the free genealogy how-to-workshop provided for amateur genealogists.

Literary Speakers

Former Black Panther Ericka Huggins, bestselling author Mary ‘Honey B’ Morrison, Block Reportin’ founder JR Valrey and authro Deeann D. Mathews will all appear as speakers at the event to discuss how the written word can transform modern thought.

Dr. Oba T’Shaka, noted civil rights activist and educator, will offer a keynote address at 4 p.m.
